Bachelor of Science in Music Education

Oakland University, Rochester Michigan, 1979

 

Music Education major, Social Studies minor; I began as an organ major, studying with Kent McDonald.  I switched my major instrument to trombone after one semester.  My trombone teachers were Wes Jacobs and Joseph Skrzynski of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, and Robert Raddock.  My band and orchestra directors were Dr. James Dawson and Dr. David Daniels.  Carolyn Tower was my elementary music/Orff techniques instructor.

I am certified in JX (music education, grades K-12), CX (social studies, grades 6-12), all subjects (grades 7-8) in the State of Michigan.
